Tropical Depression Bud is now on its last legs, located at position 20.6N 132.9W. It still heading west, in the general direction of Hawaii. It is expected to have dissipated before it reaches there.
Hurricane Carlotta unexpectedly regained hurricane status late last night, but is only just hanging on to that qualification. The system is located at 18.8N 117.7W, and will degenerate fairly rapidly over the next 48 hours.
No tropical cyclones are reported from the West Pacific or the Atlantic.
