Sunday notes

Weather has improved. The wind has dropped and the rain has stopped. A pale sun is out at the moment, although temperatures are down a smidgen (13C) on yesterday. Warning to points south: expect rain and low temperatures. Tomorrow night especially will be cold and frosty.

It appears likely that rally driver Colin MacRae was killed in a helicopter crash near Lanark, southeast of Glasgow, yesterday. The aircraft was so severely damaged that it was unclear how many people had perished, but it was evident that nobody had survived the crash. Investigations are ongoing.

Another aircrash, this time at the Thai resort of Phuket, is likely to have claimed lives. An airliner tried to land in poor weather, but crashed into the runway and broke apart.

  2. Well Guido....you've sent the rain to me....was that because I was crowing yesterday...hmmm?    Serve me right then!  Lol!
I am sitting looking out on a green watery world at the moment.  Its not continuous so I hope to get out for a walk shortly to stretch my pins.
I saw the news on the helicopter crash last night.  I think there was a possible four bodies on board.  How sad when they were so close to home too.

  6. I've seen reports on the Thai plane crash.  They are saying at least 40 people survived.  I'm not sure how many were on the plane when it crashed and split in half.  They said there were many tourists from Europe and Australia on board.  Linda in Washington state
