Just want to take the opportunity to once more thank all who went to the bother to comment in recent times, in excess of more than 100 all told. I am currently not blogging, and neither am I replying to emails. I do check emails, hence the post here.
I am currently in Holland. The funeral went as well as could be, but the emotion remains raw. Whether I shall remain here, or return to Lewis is totally undecided. If anything, it's too blinking hot here. Not used to 80F...
If anyone is interested in more Scottish pictures, please check out the pictures on my Flickr account. I am in the process of scanning 250 pictures from the start of Northern Trip, and the first 90 are there now. More to come, keep an eye on Flickr.
I guess you're not used to 80* ...WOW! We're supposed to get up to 80* in the next few days but I also heard rain mentioned so I guess it will be a surprise when it happens. It's good to hear from you once again. Thank you for keeping us updated. Linda in WA
ReplyDeleteYou need to take time to make such a big decision. Take your time. If you make the decsion to stay in Holland, can't you keep a journal from there?
ReplyDeleteThat would work for me!!! Dawn

I've really missed your Northern Trip entries Guido. I thought of you when reading of the devastation in Myanmar. It seems like we'd all love to have you back again but we understand things have changed now and your family must come first. It's been over 80F here all week. Take care of yourself and your dad. Jeannette xx
ReplyDeleteWow...it is much warmer there. It does take some time to get used to that. You are so used to living in a cool land. I have missed your entries. I am sending you lots of good thoughts and wishes.

My heart gave a little flip of happiness and anticipation when I saw your alert my friend. How lovely to see a post from you. It's just like you to think of us when your own heart is aching so much.
ReplyDeleteThe heatwave is here in the Lakes too. This is where my computer in my cellar room, which is lovely and cool at these times, comes in handy. For once I am not complaining of how cold it is down here. Lol!
The cyclone in Burma was devastating..wasn't it? What a cruel world these poor people live in.
Take care of yourself. You are precious to many of us here on AOL.
May all your fond memories of your Mum be locked into your heart to relive then in happier future times.
I wish you solace and comfort at this sad time.

Hugs for you....

I am sorry, Guido... I just heard. I've been late getting out and about to read entries... been absent, actually. But I just heard, and I'm sorry for your loss, and that you are having to move. I will come by and check out the new site. Do keep in touch... will miss reading about the weather, the hurricanes, the gales, and your interesting facts about Scotland. May you travel well, wherever you go. Peace to you, friend. bea
