The body of the spider in the previous entry measured about 8 mm, not 8 cm as portrayed on the screen (winks). Now, perhaps you like this better. This moth measures about 8 mm in reality.

So like a feathered thing, isn't he! How incredible a shot, I was thinking had I not known what it was beforehand, I'd be hard-pressed for an answer! But I know I'd think it something with feathers, isn't that odd! Great pic! xoxo Hope you're well, CATHY

Beautiful Moth, I have to agree with Jan looks like a collection of feathers. (Hugs) Indigo
ReplyDeleteNow moths of any description I just can`t stand. They always seem to flutter in my face and failing that their caterpillars eat my garden plants...lol!

Now that I would not be afraid of. Those wings make me think of a Peacock tail when it is spread. Helen

Now I don't mind catching moths. Even the big ones. I would rather catch them and put them outside than have them fluttering around in my face or round the lights. But spiders after they reach a certain size get squidged or pulverised in my house. Especially if they are sprinting towards me. Wooooohooo!
ReplyDeleteI like this photo Guido. I could look at moths and butterflies for ages they are so delicate and fragile. Jeanie
Guido,I love this moth.Ours in South Africa are rather dull (except the really big ones that have pretty patterns) This one almost golden and feathery-cool!I read a book about all the mathematical perfection etc that God used when He created these awesome delicate creatures-awesome reading!Take a look at these beauties under a microscope and you'll be amazed!!!!!! take care -Shauneen
