A much publicised springstorm has battered the East Coast of the US, leaving 8 people dead. Tornadoes, flooding and high winds all contributed to extensive disruption. More details here.

  1. Huggies Guido...Yes it was pretty bad here...Saturday night we had loads of lightening and thunder and WIND came towards the morning. The wind was so bad it almost took my pine tree down and we had ton's of branches hitting everywhere...a tornado hit down in Cottageville, up the road and I believe they had a fatality when it touched down. It is still really windy here today, some gusts are up to 55mph so I am thankful my son Fuz and his children made it back home from here last night...he had no power tho, 23,000 were out of power until 4AM this morning. God Bless all within reach of this bad weather. :)))))))Doreen
