Bit late today, but there's nothing like a quiet, restful day. Watched old editions of "Coast", the program about the UK coastline with Nicholas Crane - the chap with the walking stick protruding from his backpack. Went into town at 4pm to get the papers in, and to find the yacht berthed alongside the Amity House quay - I showed it in pictures from last Thursday, when it lay at anchor off Crossbost. It came in at around midday.
Was very proud to have several of my piccies on Flickr nominated for being special. Not expecting any awards, but it's nice. And it helps to go around commenting on others' pictures.
Also received a very interesting email regarding one of the local history projects I started during my stint here. Apparently, the internees at Groningen founded a Masonic Lodge whilst there, with the CO being the Worshipful Master. Now, I'm not a Mason and know very little of that organisation. But we have a Freemason's Lodge here in Stornoway, so it rang a bell.
Dinner is being prepared for me by Mrs B, as we're waiting for The Archers to start on Radio 4. When is Brian going to stop digging?
