7 July - 2005

The 7th of July wasn't always a lucky day. Two years ago it most certainly was not for those caught up in the London bombings. 52 people died, many more were injured in bomb attacks on Underground trains at Kings Cross, Liverpool Street and Edgware Road at around 8.46 am.The final explosion was around an hour later on a double-decker bus in Tavistock Square, not far from King's Cross. The images on television were horrendous - those who were actually on the scene will not likely forget what they saw.

Four more attacks on London Transport on 21st July 2005 failed.

Only a week ago, two carbombs were left in London's West End which did not go off. An attack on Glasgow Airport failed to have the impact that the purpetrators intended it to. Vigilance and fast actions prevented major loss of life.

  1. So sad, all this violence so senseless.
May God bless the families of those that were lost, & may He send blessings to the ones that were wounded but recovered.
    TY for posting.

  6. It's so sad that a few radicals can cause so much heartache for the rest of us.  I don't understand their need to be constantly causing chaos.  You would think they would want a peaceful world for their families too.  My heart goes out to the famlies of those lost on this day two years ago and to those who were wounded.  Linda in Washington state

  9. It makes me sick about all of this nonsense. I just don't see the point of all of the violence. But, it's obvious that I don't think the same way as a terrorist. They must be crazy.
    Stay safe Guido.
