Rainy day

It's positively belting it down now, so no weather for venturing out. The ferry was late again, almost 45 minutes. It's not the wind, just sheer volume of holiday traffic. Listening to BBC Radio 2, and the reports of tailbacks on the northbound A-whatever makes me smile. The last time we had a tailback on our main road, the A859 Stornoway to Tarbert road, was in May 2006, when the binfight at the Creed Park Corral was on.

The local authority was distributing free composting bins to every household in Lewis on a Saturday morning, so all Lewis was queuing outside the recycling plant at Creed Park, a mile or so south of Stornoway. Anyway, our rain doesn't look like it's going away any time soon.

  1. Our local council gave out compost bins but we didn`t get one. A friend was given two so we had one of them. I must say I love `feeding` it and look forward to digging in the end result. :o)
