After a start with heavy showers, the day is now quite settled. Broad sunny intervals, with puffy clouds. We have a cruiseliner in, the Kristina Regina. She was in last year around this time, carrying a complement of Finnish cruise passengers. Kristina Regina is an old lady of the sea, who is well-known in Stornoway. She doubled as floating accommodation block in the 1970s and 80s, when the fabrication yard at Arnish was in full flow, employing hundreds of people.
