2,200,000%

The inflation percentage in Zimbabwe at the moment. Mugabe still in power, and likely to remain there until he goes to meet his Maker. Country in economic melt-down, but as long as RM is in power, all is well in his world. Everybody else can go hang - he used that quote in relation to the United Kingdom, but you can safely add another 6 billion or so people to that. I despair.

  1. I also despair Guido...My friends sister is coming home form Harare in the next couple of weeks so we should get an up to date on the situation. She wants to go back but everyone here wants her to stop here....however she keeps saying her home is still in Zim.  till she is physically thrown out which could happen at any moment....Love  Sybil xx

  2. My heart aches for the poor souls under his thumb.  How can anyone be so cruel to fellow human beings?  I sure love it when I see that "Northern Trip" alert !!  Linda in hot Washington

  3. Thanks for bringing this out in the open.  This is something that is never heard in the American news media.  And we think we have it hard.  These people are way beyond hardship.  Typical example of a dictatorship though, and I agree, he'll probably stay in power until he leaves this world.

Interesting use of the word "hang" by Mugabe - sounds like he should!  No telling how many people have been murdered either directly or indirectly by this man.

  9. It is very sad and sick.  Our church supports a local woman and her ministry there.  The actual people seem so warm, friendly.  -

  11. Hi Guido,  How much longer can that man be allowed to destroy his country and his people along with it?  I despair too.
