AIM Profiles is going to Bebo. Sounds to me like they're going to pot. Sorry, I'm in a very cynical mood this week. If you don't want to go to Bebo, you lose your profile. Check out this latest piece of disservice from AIM here. Why the sarcasm? We've already lost AIM Groups. I wonder what else will go. Better not speculate.

Got my internet connection back Guido. They give the date of September 15th for the move but I just checked my profile only to be told that this profile is not available - seems they have already deleted some or at least mine along with everything I wrote, the over 60 friends I had on there with links to their journals. I have no intention of going to Bebo. In fact, I do not think I shall be staying with AOL for that much longer. I am sick and tired of them and all the hassle I have had over the last couple of years.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I can see the writing on the walls for journals. The powers that be have no interest in them anymore and they will either move them somewhere else in a different format or they will disappear before that. What used to be a pretty good service has now become rubbish in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI'm agreeing with Jeanno, it'll probably be our journals pretty soon.... I wish they'd realize that we are adults, not kids that need all the fancy extras.... I don't need to add all that stuff to my profile... but I need my AIM to IM people, right?? I'm so confused!!! LOL!!!

I am in agreement with most people I have spoken to.Things just get worse.Grrrrrrr.I will wait and see what happens.I am going to check out now if my profile is still in tact.NO I have just checked now,seems to have dissapeared like Jeannettes.This week I have been unendated with IM 's too from people I do not know,which is most unusual for me.Could this have anything to do with the changes?
