Tuesday lunchtime

It's just upon 12.30, and am sitting in the bright October sun. As the days go by, the sun drops lower and lower and is now shining on the computer desk. Where I spend far too much time LOL. The sun reflects on the water of the basin, just 10 metres away across the road and behind the seawall. Have a look on the webcam you can see it brilliantly.

Those in the UK can look forward to Tony Blair appearing on Blue Peter this afternoon at 5pm. For our American friends, this is a children's programme on BBC TV for early teens. Its prime objective is to be informative and do mildly unusual things. It goes out live, and it does not always run as planned. The motorcycle stunt club who couldn't pull it off because the bike wouldn't start. The elephant who walked across the set (as planned), leaving a few doo-doos behind (not as planned).

Again in the UK, Autumnwatch has started last night on BBC2. This focuses on nature as it goes down into autumn. I really want to recommend it this time round, as Bill Oddie's team have descended on the Isle of Rum, 80 miles south of my position, showing the red deer in rut. At the moment, the stags are bellowing and fighting. Once the hinds come into season the real stuff will take place. Migratory birds will feature as well. Rum has some stunning scenery, and I know it pretty well. I have blogged about it before, primarily about Kinloch Castle.

So much for the rundown on the telly. Hope that everyone has a good day.

  5. For some reason I couldn't see anything via your webcam. I think it's my computer though.  I also have trouble with some videos.  I'm disappointed for sure.
