A boy of 15 has died in hospital in Norwich after being rescued from the sea at Wells-next-the-Sea. The incident started with two youngsters being in trouble, but one managed to gain the shore unaided. A rescue helicopter winched the other lad from the water and transferred him to hospital in Norwich, where he died 15 minutes after arrival. Local reports speak of a delay in the commencement of the rescue, but it is not thought this contributed to the eventual tragic outcome. Seawater temperatures in the southern North Sea are about 16C / 60F at the moment.

The seaside tragedy is terrible, but people just seem to never learn. These happen frequently out here in the Pacific Ocean, especially down on the Oregon
