AOL Broadband

We are all familiar with the foibles of the AOL service, and I am gradually accumulating a fair number of graphics, lampooning the weaknesses of AOL. Fancy what will happen once AOL UK Broadband is taken over by the firm Carphone Warehouse. Apparently, CW's own broadband service is more like a disservice to its customers. I don't know what will happen to the rest of the AOL UK enterprise, and how that will affect us in the UK.

  1. I have an idea: if things turn really badly, we could all choose a broadband we feel ok with, the same one and re-construct our blogs on our new broadband...

  3. I myself am expecting one day for AOL to go completly out of business. I have been getting it free for about two months by going through byoa. I was paying the full price for years for it and before going to cable.
By the way since before the weekend I get two alerts for each entry you do. Have a good night. Helen

  6. Carphone Warehouse couldn't be worse than AOL could they?! I got TOS'd last night and had my account blocked. I was offline for nearly a day and have only just got back on! I'll be doing an entry on it later! Jeannette xx

  7. Guido you have a strong voice....lots of back up in Jland...including myself....AOL will have to listen....I dont think the Carphone Warehouse will impact bloggers..most mergers have a safety net for its customer base...it would be a really stupid business move for AOL....I imagine the UK will be safe...-Raven
