Hurricane update - 3 January

It may be winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, but down under the tropical cyclone season (tropical cyclone = hurricane) is in full swing. A tropical cyclone is about to develop some 200 miles west of Darwin, Australia, and is expected to head east across the Top End. Gales are likely to be a problem, and rainfall could lead to flooding in the Kimberley.

  1. Oh, gosh, I actually know people in Australia right now, including one who lives in Darwin.  He's technologically savvy, however, so presumably is well aware of this.
