Around Stornoway Harbour

Reasonably nice day here, if you leave the infrequent downpours to one side. Went to buy a few things in the town centre this afternoon. Decided on a stroll round the quayside, where a lot of fishingboats lay tied up (yesterday saw poor weather, tomorrow is Sunday) and seals frolicked in the water. Hope you enjoy the pics - the shower did catch up with me.

  1. Beautiful photos Guido. I love the pretty colours the houses are painted and you are so lucky to be able to see the seals.  Been gloomy with drizzle all day here.

  4. I so enjoy looking at your photos they really lift me up.  Especially the first one and the rainbow ones too.  I can't leaave out the ones of the seals as that is special having them on your doorstep...so to speak.  Lol!  I wish  it were me although we have sightings of otters living in the lake near Ambleside so I could go out and search for those...yes?
You are lucky to live where you do.
    thanks for these...

  5. Beautiful pictures.  Those darn salmon eating seals!  There were a bunch of them out in the water in front of the restaurant last week, no doubt "salmon fishing." I have noticed that 99% of the cars are smaller vehicles.  I guess it's only here in the U.S. that you see the bigger cars on the road.  So far today it's cold (below 40*), wet and gloomy here in my corner of our world.
