Quiet day

It's been a quiet day in for me, for a couple of reasons. First, I found myself behind with various bits and pieces. I've made my way through close on 130 alerts (rough estimate), some of which were yesterday's entry alerts. I was (and still am) behind with my written diary, although I've caught up with a week's worth of things. I did not show my face out of doors, as it was too windy, too wet and too blinking cold. However, if I want to go and wonder out-of-doors in a temperature of 4C, that's up to me. For a start, I won't be sweating myself silly, like I do in summer. And there are no midges.

I'm still working my way through a comparison between Technorati and my alerts on which journals I read. I have 150 on alerts, and 150 on Technorati, but there are major discrepancies. I use Technorati as a back-up list of journals. Quite useful - if and when they are working. During office hours in the US, they're a pain to use - slow, slow, slow.

  1. I've found using a Reader service works so much better for me than alerts or even Technorati. So far I have only had one glitch with it since I started using it over the summer. It's amazingly easy to use as well. I noticed it was one of the new features added to AOL lately. I'm sticking with my Google Reader , AOL hasn't exactly been dependable.

I trying to work through my own alerts at the moment......slowly, but surely I will catch up. (Hugs) Indigo

  2. I am behind in my alerts as well, I've yet to catch up.  I am not at all familiar with Technorati, I don't even know what it is.  I see it but have never looked into it.  Some day in my spare time, (yeah right), I will investigate it.
