Sunday notes

Good morning from Stornoway, where the sun is coming out again after a heavy, wintry shower of hail and rain. I'd better not comment on some of the comments on my Amsterdam post, two entries back, other than that I'm shocked.

An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale has shaken Greece. However, because the epicentre was located 32 miles under the earth's surface, damage appears to have been limited. No reports of casualties are available at this time. The quake was centred 75 miles southwest of Athens, and was also felt in Italy, not that far to the west.
