Jersey

The remains of 5 children have been recovered from the former children's home Haute de la Garenne on the Channel Island of Jersey. These include 65 milk teeth and over 100 bone fragments. The milk teeth were determined to have come out after death.

It is suggested that there is sufficient evidence to mount a case for prosecution, except that apparently steps have been taken to ensure that such a prosecution would fail - apparently to preserve reputations. An investigation will be mounted into the separation of powers (legislative, executive and legal) in Jersey, which are allegedly too intimately intertwined. The abuse could easily be proved. More on this here.

It should be borne in mind that Jersey, although part of Great Britain, has a large degree of autonomy from mainland Britain. London takes care of matters like foreign affairs and defense, but Jersey has its own laws.

  1. The whole affair is ghastly.  God knows what the children there went through and how much those that were abused are still suffering today.

  2. how sad for those poor children. I hope and pray those responsible pay for what they did, whether it be here on earth or they burn in hell, they should pay. I wanted to let you know tomorrow is my last day of internet service. I will be back on line in about 2 weeks after my move. We're moving on saturday. Until then take care, be safe and will see ya again soon. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))

  3. My gosh, I cannot believe there is a chance no criminal charges will be filed - talk about corrupt!  This is a little too big to be swept under the carpet, the people involved in this should be held accountable.

  6. English or any other law ~ these kids were horribly murdered and robbed of life. For that the people responsible should be severely punished. It sickens me to think they may get away with it. Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
