Upgrade - corrected

With apologies for the incorrect link - I am reposting this entry

Installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 this afternoon. Took about 40 minutes, and it decided to hang as it was cleaning up after installation. Things seem to be working without problem at the moment.

Those who have not installed this upgrade should go to http://update.microsoft.com and check the updates due on their system. Install all the essential ones. SP2 takes about 40 minutes to install (depending on speed of system). There will be NO further security updates &c for SP1 as of tomorrow, October 10th, 2006.

    I'm Installing it now...mine is hanging up @ cleanup also...
    how long did that last..?  As mine has been at a standstill for a bit now...oh well i hope it snaps out of it...lol  Thanks
