Fairly sunny today, ahead of more wind and rain tonight. The storms appear to have abated down south, but wind- and water damage remains. Another spell of severe gales will pass over the central part of the United Kingdom later today. We'll be left with northwesterly winds and wintry showers tomorrow.
This is the MV Riverdance, which beached at Fleetwood on January 31st. Its salvage is being hampered by the current bad weather.

Wow! That's an incredible photo. What kind of salvage could be done when winds calm down? Dawn
ReplyDeleteWe were toying with the idea of going to Blackpool to see Riverdance. If we do I hope it's before they begin to salvage it. Blackpool is only an hour away from here.
ReplyDeleteWe are having very reasonable weather ..all things considered. I'm not going to gloat too much just in case.

The beached ship is an eerie image. I hope the weather gets better ~ we are actually due to have a fairly nice day today.

poor crew and ship. I hate seeing ships in distress...i think the power of weather, in all its dangerous forms is about the only thing man cannot control.
