Very springlike

Right, this is the first day of spring, and this is the view at 11pm this evening. Quite a heavy hail and snow shower. Far worse to come tomorrow, with a great deal of uncertainty over our ferry service.

  6. I knew when I saw the title of you entry you were no doubt getting rain, sleet, hail or snow.  You folks are really getting blasted with yucky winter weather.  Maybe you should call a town meeting and invite "Old Man Winter" to make an appearance, so you can all have a little chat with him.  Hoping the weather improves soon.   Linda in Washington state http://journals.aol.com/lsfp1960/LindasWorld/

  7. It rained and blew a 'hoolie' here in the Lakes last night.  Ther's snow on the tops  but for the moment we have sunshine.  That's fine with me.
Wrap up warm when you go out and about.  Its bitter cold here so its bound to be colder still up your way.

  8. I hate to admit I was a bit jealous when I read "Very Springlike"....I suppose misery truly does love company as I was happy to see you were being sarcastic.  We are due for snow tonite & tomorrow, they say it won't last long with the "angle of the sun" but I have found our weathermen are wrong much more than they are right so I am counting on a full blown blizzard.

  9. It's the same way here in NY. I was despondent to find another 2 inches overing my yard this morning. Hang in there, hopefully Mother Nature awakens from her slumber soon. I doubt it will be soon enough for me. (Hugs) Indigo

  10. I have some new pictures to post in my journal of our flowering trees in our neighborhood, but now that I see what you are going through, it would be just a terrible tease and even cruel to show.  This is some really terrible weather there.  Hope the tulips and irises come up very soon for you.
