Florence has battered Bermuda on Monday with 120 mph winds, which temporarily knocked out their radar and webcam. There do not appear to be any casualties associated with Florence's passing.
The storm is now turning into a "normal" autumnal Atlantic depression, south of Newfoundland. It has a stormfield that stretches 450 miles from the centre, currently located 360 miles SSE of Sable Island. Anyone in the Canadian Maritimes is strongly advised to monitor bulletins, issued by Environment Canada. Rainfall totals up to 125 mm / 5 inches are likely, as are winds of up to tropical storm strength, 45 mph or 40 kts.
