I read in Carlene's journal that Walmart US have just published their latest $4 prescription list. With reference to my screenie, I want to add a few cautionary notes.
Before you change to a Walmart generic, please check with your treating doctor as well as with your pharmacist whether it is safe to change over.
One example where you can NOT just change over is thyroid preparations. Every preparation, made by a different manufacturer, works differently. When your thyroid condition is well controlled on preparation A, it may become uncontrolled on preparation B.

Didn't know that. Our chemist gives you the cheapest of everything so it changes every time you put in a script. My hubby, daughter, sister both mother and mother-in-law all have or had a thyroid problem.

Good tip, Guido! While the $4.00 list is a lifesaver, and I use very many generic drugs there are always some pills and some people that require the name brand. - Barbara
