Category 4 hurricane Dora continues to wander around the Indian Ocean, 750 miles east of La Reunion and Mauritius. She shows signs of heading west, but whether the islands are threatened is not clear.
The tropical depression in the Gulf of Carpentaria off Australia is now not likely to develop into a tropical cyclone; another system near Fiji has popped up and is making ominous noises.
