A note of warning for readers in the UK. Uncle Alberto is now saying his good-byes to the Americas as he prepares to make his way across the Atlantic to Europe. As you can see on the above satellite image (taken at 8.45pm tonight, 15 June), the remains of Tropical Storm Alberto have turned into a massive storm system. It is expected off the westcoast of Ireland and Scotland on Sunday. Like in the USA, it will be bringing loads of rain and some wind. I am not expecting the force 11 winds they had in Florida earlier this week, but do anticipate bucket loads of the wet stuff. I suggest to follow the forecast, although Alberto has so far not been mentioned. Be wary - he is not a sugar uncle, I'm telling you.

ReplyDeleteAccording to the weather page on AOL for Brighton we have sun and around 67-70 degrees every day till saturday the 24th! I hope they're right, also hope you don't get all the rain in Scotland. I'll make a deal, we'll have it at night and you can have it in the day! Jeannette xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if Alberto will affect Scotland and Northern Ireland only
