I have been reading this journal, "Watching my Sister Disappear...", for a while. It is the heart-rending story of a woman who loses her sister to Alzheimer's Disease. I think they're both in their 50s. Mary-Louise relates her sister's inexorable decline to the way we relate to people in every-day life - or not as is more likely.
Have a read, and leave a note of encouragement.

ReplyDeleteAh, I visit that particular journal, and it is truly heartbreaking. I knew a man whose mother got the disease in her forties, and I was shocked to learn it could hit someone that young.
ReplyDeleteIt is one of the many reasons I am very, very much in favor of furthering stem cell research. One day, maybe it will be able to conquer tragic diseases like Alzheimer's.
Thank you for your recent visit to my journal.
Be well and have a grand week.
