The BBC featured a report that snow had fallen in the area around the central Siberian town of Omsk which was oily to the touch, yellow in colour and had a rotten smell. The cause of the discoloured snow is being investigated, but it has already been reveiled that it contains four times the normal level of iron. Omsk is a centre for the Russian oil industry.
Residents have been advised not to use the snow for household purposes or allow animals to graze on it.

Oh yuk! That sounds nasty. I hope the officials can get to the bottom of that issue. Sounds very dangerous. That would be worse than snirt (snow mixed with dirt) Linda in Washington
