Busy port
Once again, Stornoway is seeing a fair number of boats in today. The coastguard tug Anglian Earl is moored alongside pier no 1; German fisheries research vessel Heincke is on the other side of the pier. And Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency vessel Vigilant lies alongside the ferrypier.

Smart photos Guido...it looks as though rain is on its way looking at those clouds. Does Vigilant carry passengers or just crew members? Its quite a big ship looking at it from a picture. Jeanie
ReplyDeleteThe Vigilant is a patrol boat, only carrying its crew. They have legal powers to board, even surreptitiously, any fishing boat in UK waters.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots....was there a storm on the horizon? Thanks for sharing...

More striking boat pictures I see. I really like these boat photos. I guess you like what you do not hardly ever see. Gerry
