From Russia - with curiosity

Two Russian aircraft were escorted from airspace over the Outer Hebrides during the last few weeks. The Bear Foxtrot planes, commonly seen during the Cold War, were detected on radar, possibly during Operation Neptune Warrior, a joint naval exercise involving 14 countries off the west coast of Scotland. Two jets from RAF Leuchars were scrambled and they intercepted the Russians, accompanying them away from the area. No radio contact took place.
