Moon and Venus

For those in the UK, there is about 2 hours left, but over in the USA look west after the sun goes down and you'll see the Moon creeping closer and closer to Venus. Here in Scotland it looked like this at 10.40pm

  1. Wonderful picture, thanks Guido.  I've already reminded folks of my previous post about this event and that it's the 19th so they should reap the benefits of the pairing of the crescent moon with bright Venus, happening a few hours after sunset, continuing till after midnight here.  I'm glad you were on top of this, it's great to see how it looked in your part of the world!  Ah the big sky of Scotland! We still have a few hours to go. Watch again in 10 days.  xoxo CATHY

  2. My oh my...so pretty.  It's very overcast here today, so I doubt I'll be able to see it.  The sunset here tonight is 8:43pm about 5 hours from now.   GREAT PICTURE !!  Linda in cloudy western Washington

It was worth the trouble as it was a lovely sight..just glanced at your picture taken time and that was about the time I was looking at it down here in Wiltshire.  Sybilsybil45
