Japan is in the firing line from typhoon Man-yi. On July 13th (Friday), this system will pass the archipelago of Naha, south of western Japan; the next day it will pay a visit to the port of Sasebo in the far west of Japan with winds near the centre of 95 knots (105 mph). On Sunday, Kyoto will see it passing close by, with winds of 75 knots (85 mph).
