Tropical cyclones - 14th July

The three cyclones I've been monitoring over the past few days are all on a downward path now.

Bilis has moved on-shore into mainland China, but still carries a lot of wind into the Straits of Taiwan.

Bud is now rapidly losing power as it passes over cooler seas, and will be what they call a remnant low, moving west along the 22nd parallel. It is more than 1,000 miles southwest of Baja California.

Carlotta will be downgraded by late Saturday, and is in Bud's wake, 600 miles to the east of Bud.

The Atlantic is hurricane free, and looks likely to stay that way for the next 24 hours.

Please refer to the National Hurricane Center website
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov for in-depth analysis and forecasts; West Pacific forecasts are issued by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center in Hawaii.
