Tropical Cyclones - advisories

I have been putting summaries of information on tropical cyclones on this blog, for general info.

I want to stress the importance of consulting the source of this information - the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov) or the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (http://www.npmoc.navy.mil/jtwc.html), particularly if a hurricane may be heading for your part of the world. This is absolutely imperative, as your LIFE and your property may depend on it. Both centers give out detailed advice for affected areas, which area is likely to be affected, what is likely to happen and what to do. I am aware that particularly in the USA, local news media may give out insufficient information for residents of areas that may be hit by hurricanes.

Regular readers will have seen the above links in previous bulletins on this blog; I cannot stress their importance enough.
