Picture problems and 3rd party cookies

Well, I've sorted my picture problems. It would appear AOL won't work without cookies. Last week, I installed an upgrade on my firewall, which cut out 3rd party cookies on all websites, and AOL promptly stopped cooperating. I have now reenabled the cookies and everything seems to be more-or-less back in working order. I never realised how important those blinking cookies were.

It does annoy me, because some of them feed back personal information about my PC etcetera, which I don't want to lose off the computer. Anyway, lesson learned and shared.

Tomorrow, I'm going to get a new roll of Digestives down at Somerfields. The current lot is now a load of crumbs, with the bashing I've given them.

  1. I didn't know AOL wouldn't work without cookies although I must say they don't work too good with cookies! Stick the pack of Digestives in there and you'll be up and running again! Jeannette xx

  3. I had no idea it needs cookies to run.  Yikes!!  Knowing me I'll disable this whole machine.

  4. Hmmm, several times a week I delete all temporary files, cookies, etc.
    So far, all seems ok.
Never knew we needed to keep certain ones, don't know which to keep & which to delete.
I'm so confused, as I'm NOT tech savvy. What is digetives? Do I need them too?
    Have a good week.
