Went for an amble round Stornoway this afternoon, only to find the place shut down. The supermarkets were open, but other shops were closed. Today is a bank holiday. As a result, I though I could do worse than take an amble around. Pictured the housing complex referred to as Balamory (it actually stands on Keith Street) as well as two churches on Matheson Road.

What beautiful photos! Thank you so much for sharing them! Happy New Year! Phyllis
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, boy there was not many people around. Everything is pretty much back to normal here today. Joni
ReplyDeleteIt really looks deserted there. That housing place is colorful. Those two churches are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. It's cold here today with a cold wind blowing. Helen
ReplyDeleteWhat a colourful street Guido, it`s surely not the one used for the children`s TV series of the same name?

It looks like a ghost town there! Nobody is out and about at all. I love looking at pictures of your city. The houses look so different from here.
ReplyDeleteThe churches really look majestic to me. Thanks for sharing them.

The nice 'quiet' neighborhood makes me wish I could get out of L.A. I'd probably actually get bored, but it sounds like a dream to me.

I like your photographs a great deal. The houses are so colorful, much more interesting than the brick or muted siding that is so common around here. The first picture is so majestic, the rolling clouds above the sea.--Sheria

ReplyDeleteI just love your photos Guido. I don't think I had better show Adam my 7 yr old this entry though. He will think it's Balamory off the TV.
