Another beneficial effect of aspirin was discovered recently. It is thought to block the enlargement of the prostate in men. This affects roughly half of all men above the age of 70, and leads to problems urinating, or a frequent urge to pass water.
Aspirin is associated with side-effects, such as an increased risk of stomach ulcers, disruption of the blood
clotting system and asthma attacks in susceptible people. More information in this article on BBC Online.

I've always taken aspirin with no ill effects and it's said if a person takes one at the onset of a heart attack they have a far greater chance of survival which I'm sure you knew. It must be one of the best multi use drugs available. Jeannette xx http://beta.journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
ReplyDeleteJust remembered another use. If you crush an aspirin and massage it in to your hair before rinsing it leaves it really squeaky clean! Jeannette xx http://beta.journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
