A tropical cyclone has formed in the Indian Ocean, which will affect Mauritius and La Reunion on Saturday. The forecast suggests that Favio will be a marginal category 1 hurricane by that time, which will pass both islands within 200 miles. The weather services in Mauritius and La Reunion will commence issuing watches and warning as appropriate on Thursday, when the island of Rodrigues will be affected by Favio as a tropical storm.
