Remember my earlier post about tropical cyclone Favio? I said it's making for Mozambique by next weekend, which is about the worst place it could go to.
Southern Mozambique is suffering from severe floods at the moment, after the Zambezi River burst its banks. Favio is not likely to bring serious problems in terms of winds, but will dump more rain on the basin of the Zambezi, as I outlined in my hurricane update. In other words, more flooding. Oh no.

I hope it's died down a little by then and doesn't hit Mozambique too hard. Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
ReplyDeleteYes, it is awful for some areas of the world.
ReplyDeleteJohn.
I pray for those poor folks in Zambezi. Flooding there will mean many horrors will present themselves to them. It doesn't bear thinking about! Jeanie
