Mental arithmetic

A survey, mentioned on the BBC Breakfast website, found that half the people it questioned would have been short-changed in the shop, because they could not work out how much change they should get. How well would you do? You can find out here. Leave me a comment with your score.
Oh, don't use a calculator or a piece of paper. Mental arithmetic ONLY.

  1. I have no idea how you use you measurements or what your money equals to ours. By guessing I got 4 out of five right. Helen

  2. I don't have a clue about the money there where you are.  So I don't know what £
is.  I got the ones that don't have a £ right however.  All I know about are $$.  Linda in sunny and cold Washington state.

  6. I got five out of five Guido, I've always been able to do mental arithmetic. When I was at school we did whole lessons on it, long before the days of calculators! Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

  8. I'll blame it on the late hour (winks) 3 out of 5, but considering I'm an American and we use different measurements.....I didn't think it was all that bad. (Hugs) Indigo
