Tropical storm Favio continues on its path west, and its outliers are now affecting the extreme south of Madagascar. This will be mostly be in the shape of heavy rain and squalls.
I am more concerned with developments in the next few days, when Favio looks set to seize a chance to intensify into a category 1 hurricane, according to the hurricane centre on La Reunion. Landfall may occur in southern Mozambique, leading again to heavy rains. The South African weatherservice picks up Favio as an intense low pressure system over Zimbabwe by the weekend. Southern Africa, in the proximity of Favio, should therefore be aware of high rainfall totals.

Hugs Guido, sorry I have not been on many journals lately but Mum fell and dislocated her arm, she has a fracture in the joint and has to have surgery to sew the muscle back in place...terrible for a 90 year old to go thru but the fall was so unexpected. I hope the hurricane dies down soon, I hate the word hurricane because we have had so many here that have devistated so many homes. Almost wish I had a plastic bubble to put over the house but so goes life living near the ocean. Have a Blessed day my friend. :)))))))) Doreen
