Ferry Disruptions

Well, the weather is quite unpleasant today. Winds are at force 7, gusting to force 8, and frequent showers, some of them so heavy that the streetlights come on, batter Stornoway. One hailshower left a 4 inch blanket of ice in the gutters. I was not surprised, as I already hinted yesterday, to learn that this afternoon the ferries are comprehensively off. Our ferry, from Ullapool, has come in just 10 minutes ago, not to go out again until tomorrow.

A rundown of other cancellations:
Berneray - Leverburgh: the 1330 ex Berneray and 1440 ex Leverburgh have been cancelled.
