Because of technical problems with our tanker, unleaded petrol is currently in short supply in and around Stornoway. For reference, our tanker is a ship, the Border Heather, which I occasionally mention as coming in or going out. People are going round with jerrycans, trying to scrounge a litre here and a litre there.
I don't drive, and buses run on diesel, which has not run out. The tanker is due tomorrow, or Monday. Until then, traffic will be a bit thinner than usual.

I wish traffic would thin out here. Maybe we need a shortage here as well? Nah...second thought....we had one in the late 70's and it was a nightmare.
