This video shows a journey between Shawbost and Arnol on the west side of Lewis. It was taken on board a Galson Motors bus on June 7th, 2006. It is very shaky, and I do not recommend full-screen viewing. Nonetheless, hope you enjoy.

LOL!!! Oh my gosh Guido, when I stop laughing, Perhaps I can finish typing this....
ReplyDeleteThat was a riot !! Did you check to see if you had all your fillings still attached to your teeth after that ride. I can say for definate sure the bus is in badly need of shocks and struts. Thank you for a wonderful laugh!! (Hugs) Indigo
Dear Guido,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating tour. I wish you had made comments as you drove along. What were those stone ruins? Houses? Fortresses?
What a great idea I got of Lewis Isle from this. I see you drive on the left side of the road, however, from the amount, or lack of, traffic, you could drive on any side, or both, and not cause a problem.
Looking at the map, I sse that when you look to the sea there is NOTHING between you and the north pole.
Thank you. I once made a video of my driving around Oxnard California. What a difference. Don't know how to post my video, but sure is a great idea.

I enjoyed the video Guido...a little bumpy for sure. Since we drive on the opposite side of the road, it seemed strange to me, as our driving must to you. Great country side shots...nice home too. Thanks for sharing...take care..

Did I see a cattle grid across the road Guido? Thanks for another shoogly ride in an idyllic setting. Such quiet roads. Amazing! I wouldn't want to drive..I reckon a bicycle would do just great as there doesn't seem to be too many hills unlike here in the Lakes.
