Reasonable afternoon, after a morning with heavy downpours. Western Australia is awaiting the arrival of tropical storm Jacob, which is weakening as it heads for shore. Meanwhile, WA police are mounting an investigation into the one death and 28 injuries at the Fortescue mining site south of Port Hedland during Cyclone George.
The oilrig that has been offshore, some 12 miles south of Stornoway, is still there this morning, but there are signs of activity. Another supply ship is heading down the Minch, so I'll be keeping an eye open for developments on that front. Otherwise, it's a quiet Sunday out here.
