I have also blogged about this project on another blogsite (not in English, sorry), and blimey did I get lambasted for even mooting the idea.
What people found fault with was that president Bush (read: him and previous administrations) had sown the seeds and were now reaping the storm. Upon remonstrating that these were innocent victims, the reply was that a "War on Bush" should be initiated, and the relevant correspondent even suggested that the victims would agree with that.
Very nasty, and I do not agree with that at all. Violence has never resolved any differences in a proper way. The conflict in the Middle East has its roots back in the Middle Ages (Crusades), and over the last 100 years or so has been mismanaged to an eye-watering degree. However, I will write about Norberto Hernandez on September 11th, if only to stay true to my own principles.
Wow! I cannot imagine any reasonable excuse for faulting the effort by many to make mention, by name, of each of the 911 victims. But I guess that's it, right there. Apparently, the people who are so full of hate and indignation toward certain world leaders, no matter what real provocation they have, cannot get past that to support a remembrance of the victims.
