Advance warning of Tropical Storm Debby out in the Atlantic. She is still far away, 550 km WNW of the Cape Verde Islands (west of Africa), but keep an eye on developments through next week. Debby will become a hurricane over the weekend. Check my Tropical Cyclones blog - I update it once or twice a day with summaries of the latest bulletins from the relevant Hurricane Centers.

I don't know about you, but Hurrican "Debby" just doesn't seem right, does it? I hope she doesn't come to land.

I keep watch of the Tropical Storms. I have a site bookmarked that I check daily. Debby is my cousin's name. How ironic.

This storm is just under four thousand miles away from us right now, but I'm already keeping an eagle eye on it. I'll have to check your Tropical Cyclones Blog out! Thanks!
