The Central Pacific is having its first named tropical storm in four years. Tropical Storm Ioke [Joyce] formed overnight and looks set to become a hurricane. The storm is located at position 11N 159W, southsouthwest of the Big Island, Hawaii. Please check my Tropical Cyclones blog for further information.
