Tropical Disturbance Statement - North / South Carolina

Reports from an air force reconnaissance plane indicate that an area of low pressure
centered about 150 miles southeast off the coasts of North and South Carolina is
producing maximum sustained winds of 25 mph in a few isolated thunderstorms. This
system has not yet become a tropical depression. However, the potential for this system
to become a tropical depression at any time during the next day or so.

Please monitor the National Hurricane Center's website for further developments.
I will try to keep up on my blog Tropical Cyclones, which I maintain between 11 am and
midnight British Time.
