Hit counters

Tonight, I have removed the last Webstats4u counters from my webpages. They have now all been replaced with Sitemeters. I ditched webstats4u after I found that pop-up ads were surreptitious attached to the pages containing their counters. It even stopped my webcam pages from working properly, so that was the end for webstats-no-longer-for-me. It's a pity, because they showed exactly how people reached the webpage in question.

My webpages centre around http://hometown.aol.co.uk/pharmolo/index.html.

The pages referring to the Mod [Gaelic culture competition] centre around http://modmusic.bravehost.com.

  2. Jan, it's hardly technical. In brief it says: don't use webstats4u.
